Why people end up here
ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Atlassian's own Rovo all write diagrams in the Mermaid format by default. Most people arrive having pasted that text into a Confluence page and found that it does not draw. Paste it in here instead and it becomes a picture.
What is different about this one
Rendering Mermaid is not the hard part, and it is not what people complain about in reviews of the existing apps. They complain that the result is unusable. Every one of those complaints is fixed here, and the fixes are the product:
- Too small to read — zoom in and out, or jump to true size.
- No full screen — one click fills the browser window, Esc comes back.
- Ignores the column width — Fit width fills the space the diagram sits in.
- Blown up and cropped — never enlarged past the size it was drawn at.
- A white box in dark mode — it follows your Confluence appearance setting.
- Breaks inside tables and expand boxes — narrow containers show the whole diagram small, with a compact toolbar, instead of a scrolled fragment.
A live preview
The preview updates as you type, so a typo shows up before you save rather than after. When something is wrong, it names the line the problem is on.

Nothing leaves your site

Your diagram text never leaves Atlassian
The app carries Atlassian's Runs on Atlassian badge — their own automated check that an app uses Atlassian-hosted compute and storage, supports data residency, and sends no data outside the platform. It is their verification, not our claim about ourselves.
Your diagram text is stored by Confluence inside your own page, exactly like any other content you write there. There is no copy of it anywhere else, because there is nowhere else. If you uninstall the app, nothing you have written disappears — the text is still in your pages, it simply stops being drawn as a picture.
Questions
Does it work offline, or on a restricted network? Yes. Everything it needs is bundled inside the app. It makes no external requests.
What does it cost? Free for teams of ten or fewer, and every Marketplace app includes a 30-day free trial above that.
Can I export a diagram as an image? Not in this version. If you want it, say so — that is how we decide what to build next.
